BATTAMBANG GOOD FOOD GUIDE-PHO CHUNG CHUNG RESTAURANT

Pho Chung Chung

If you are looking for traditional Khmer and other Asian foods then you should try the recently opened Pho Chung Chung, situated directly opposite Military Headquarters on the road to Phnom Penh.

The building is brand new and the place is immaculately clean. Staff are friendly and helpful and several speak English. There is an outdoor dining area on one side. This is sits under an old vine and provides shade but also a natural cooling affect.

A complimentary pot of hot, green tea is served when you arrive and what is more, the cups are paced before by a staff using tongs.

You can enjoy a filling breakfast or for seventy-five cents you can enjoy a delicous cup of coffee and a warm, crusty baguette.

HOW TO GET THERE: From the statue of the Battambang Man, travel along National Road 5 until you come to Army Headquarters. Just before you get to the entrance you will see Pho Chung Chung on the right. It is on the same side but just before the University of Battambang
